We just keep getting better and better each year. Aug 14 2004 was no different. I have to tell you that I am becoming more and more a figure head with KC PPD, and I love it. I first want to sing the praises of the PPD Staff. I could not think of a greater group of people to work with. These are the folks that put on your KC PPD event. One of the main reasons PPD was started was to help get people involved in the community on a global level. Or as Chell would say “Think Global but act Local” and we are doing just that.

This year we had some wonderful speakers and events take place. Velvet Reith and Devan Sanfilippo Solndas spoke with us about bringing the magic to our daily lives.
Barbra Crisswell shared Celtic Lore and how we can choose to live in a pre-made box, or we can break free and be ourselves. While Clanna Eireanne entertained us with Irish dance and the sound of bagpipes filled the air.

We have added a new Staff member this year. M.R. Sellars is our new KC PPD Emcee. He also held a PPD trivia contest and gave away free copies of his books (Hint look for Crone Moon to be out in Oct)

Robin and Jolynne Martinez headed up the Voter Registration booth, trying to get as many people as possible to register (If you have registered PLEASE vote in November)

The Gaia Community folks took care of recycling for us...

We had a wonderful Silent Auction and raised a total of $2300.00 (roughly) to donate. The Ronald Mc Donald House charities were very excited to receive such a donation.

I want to thank everyone that was a part of this years PPD event. From Staff, local New Age stores, Tarot readers, Reiki healers, Churches, the North Kansas City Parks and Rec., and you, the folks that come and are a part of the Event. With out you we could not do any of this…Thank You and see you in 2005.
