After the dust settled, the cash counted and the donations loaded, PPD 2002
was a success by any standards. A benefit for the Rose Brooks
Center, a local
domestic violence shelter, the day-long event drew in approximately 200 people
and raised more than 2,000 in cash and two truckloads of physical donations
including clothes, diapers, food, toys, and more. To say the staff at Rose
Brooks was overwhelmed was a bit of an understatement.
