Kansas City Pagan Pride :: PPD 2000 - a review by Raven Spirit

Well, when I got involved with this 3 years ago I had no idea that we would have had 200 people in one event. But I am sure glad we did. WOW...there were folks everywhere....and kids. I was so happy to see all of the children.

There is not much more I can say on the day that was not said by Patrick (He is a word Wizard) But I can give the totals.

I am pleased to announce we raised $915.00 for The Witches' Voice and $1511.24 for Wayside Waifs.

But I would like to share some afterthoughts about PPD, and Pagan Spirit in general.

Yes, this years Pagan Pride Day ROCKED in a major way...it is really only the beginning.

Pagan Pride Day is just that...ONE day. But hopefully we have taken something from it that will last a lifetime.

It is easy to come and bring a donation (Which we are VERY thankful for) but what do we (myself included) do the rest of the year?

That is where the "Pagan Pride" really kicks in...

Again thanks to HSA, Jerrys of Westport, House of Hezekiah and everyone that got involved.

To the PPD Staff... You all busted your rumps... My you be forever blessed for your love of this thing we call commUNITY.

And finally to those that came and reported this in the papers... Thanks for coming and sharing donation with Wayside Waifs, but sharing your hearts with us.
